Karina Castro (Portuguese, b.1990).
Lives and works in Milan. Her artistic practice focuses on socio-political issues in order to stimulate a dialogue about contemporary circumstances. In 2023 she exhibits her first solo exhibition at Park Hub, Park Associati with the series Human domination on Earth. In 2021 she is among the winners of the New European Photography section curated by Gup and Fresheyes. Among the collective exhibitions where she presented her works: Science and Industry Museum (Manchester), The Royal Geographical Society (London), New European Photography talents (Rotterdam). She has additionaly been published in different books, magazines and over the years has carried out visual research, collaborating with institutions, publishers, architects and editorial projects such as Ancora Milano Curated by Paola Antonelli from the Museum of Modern Art published by Contrasto books in 2024 and Monte Amiata Housing published by Divisare Books.
